Who We Are

Roswell Park was one of the first institutions in the nation to be recognized by the National Cancer Institute (NCI) as a comprehensive cancer center. That means we provide expert cancer care and conduct top-tier research aimed at finding ways to prevent and cure cancer, with NCI support. 

Three major studies have found that long-term survival rose from 6% to 20% overall, as well as within specific cancer types, for patients who were treated from the start at NCI-designated comprehensive cancer centers, compared with those treated elsewhere.

From electronic journal databases to designing clinical trials to patenting new therapies, Roswell Park has extensive experience and expertise in collaborating across multidisciplinary teams to help our researchers in achieving our ultimate goal — curing cancer.
